Guizhou Province , located in the eastern part of Southwest China's Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau,is the beating heart of Southwest China.

Climate
Guizhou has a humid, sub-tropical monsoonal climate ,it has warm winters, mild summers and unclear seasonal contrasts,with a mean annual temperature of 14oC-16oC.

Ethnic Minority Group
Apart from the Han people, there are many other minority groups living in Guizhou. Different ethnic groups account for 36.77% of the province's total population of 37.5 million. As a multinational province,there are many interesting customs such as group dance of the Yi people, wine song and bronze drum of the Bouyei people, the Torch Festival etc.

Cities and highlights
Guiyang,the capital city,is in the middle of the province.Guizhou Province is unfamiliar to many travellers and tourists. Guizhou Cuisine is characterized as spicy and savory. Special dishes include noodles with intestines, Yelang dough fish, Tangyuan (dumplings made of glutinous rice flour), and steamed (or fried) glutinous rice paste wrapped in lotus leaves, etc.
