How It Works:  
The patented Magic Cutter product incorporates an advanced, high-tech ceramic called zirconium oxide. This material is second in hardness only to diamonds. Ceramic blades are far superior to less expensive metal blades because they are extremely hard, wear-resistant, and will not rust.

Forged metal blades are softer than ceramic blades; metal is susceptible to chemical corrosion. Over time its edge "rolls" and "pits" which is why metal blades dull so easily.
